Sr/Adv 8-Week PBT Course
This is a progressive program for students in Intermediate Foundation level Ballet and up (age 12+) who have previous training in Progressing Ballet Technique. Students need to have been training in Sr PBT before enrolling in this course.
Firstly, lessons will build from the previous class, so registering for the full program will create the best results.
Second, students will gain deeper connection to their bodies. Focus is still on developing strength in core, posture control, turnout, hamstrings and gluteal muscles. Activating deeper muscle awareness and memory is key to continued improvement. This work will create stronger technique in dance classes and students will have the ability to quickly adjust their placement to activate correct muscles.
This is an excellent way to continue to strengthen technique while we have been at home for quite some time.
- stability ball (yoga ball) appropriate for height of participant
- small ball (8-10” diameter – toy basketball, soccer ball or toy ball from the dollar store)
- yoga mat (optional)
- long theraband in strong or extra strong strength
- lacrosse ball
